She was born November 13, 1933 in Russell, KS the daughter of Hynek and Anna (Sita) Brant. Martha grew up on her family farm located north of Lucas. She graduated from Lucas High School and later married Duane Letsch. One child was born the union, Duane Douglas (Doug). Duane and Martha worked on their farm for several years before selling it, and moved to Luray. Duane passed away May 13, 2004.
She loved to work in her yard, reading the paper, watch movies and kept her mind sharp by doing many types of puzzle books. Martha enjoyed keeping in touch (mostly by phone) with many family members and friends.
She is survived by her son; Doug of Luray, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband Duane; parents, sisters Emilie Lynn, Anna Gardner, Vera Lewis and Beatrice (Brant-Pike) Honomichl; and brothers Vaclav (Jim) Brant, Anton Brant and Stanley Brant.
