Martha Elizabeth Mitchell

Martha Elizabeth Mitchell went home to be with Jesus on October 31, 2023, at age 74. Martha was born to James Lester Mitchell Sr. and Iva Gene Pickett on April 25, 1949, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Reading and studying the Bible was her passion. Martha enjoyed teaching and preaching God's Word. She was a former Associate Pastor at New Life Assembly of God, which she attended since the church's founding. Martha was predeceased in death by her parents, James and Iva Gene Mitchell, and her brother-in-law, Benny Mills. She is survived by sister Janice Mills of Maynardville, brother James Mitchell and his wife Barbara of Knoxville, niece Candace Bowling and her husband Gene of Maryville, nephew Jesse Mitchell of Knoxville, Joel and his wife Jennifer of Fountain City, great nieces and nephews Allison and Kaelyn Bowling, Stacie Ann, Blake, and Alexis Mills. The family will receive from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Rose Funeral & Cremation-Broadway. A Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at in Bookwalter Cemetery.
