Martha Jack Hartley Ratledge (“Marcie”), 87, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at home surrounded by family. She was born May 26, 1937, to the late Willie and Margaret Patton Hartley. Mrs. Ratledge loved our Lord and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. During her long and joyful life, she enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Alvin. She was an enthusiastic bowler, an avid reader, and remained young at heart throughout her life. Mrs. Ratledge will be remembered for her warm generosity, sense of humor, and loving patience. Preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Ratledge; son, Daniel Ratledge; grandson, Harrison Ratledge and three brothers. She is survived by her son, Donny Ratledge (Delane); daughter, Judy Ratledge; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and her loving extended family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Clemmons with Pastor Eric Truitt officiating. A graveside service will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Well Care Hospice, 146 Dornach Way Bermuda Run, NC 27006 or Immanuel Baptist Church, 1505 Lewisville Clemmons Rd. Clemmons, NC 27012.
