Mr. Morris Ray Ratledge, 63, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. He was born on August 29, 1961 to the late Ray Ratledge and Sylvia Beck Williams. Morris was a Master Mason and Craftsman. He was also a very accomplished Carpenter and Mechanic. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t repair. Above all, he was a loving father and Papa.
Morris is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tracy Long Ratledge; his children, Morris Ray Ratledge, Jr., Olen Trent Hobson (Heather Bass), and Dylan Chance Ratledge; grandchildren, Olen Bryce Hobson, Aubrey Madison Ratledge, and Evelyn Jane Ratledge; sisters, Kathy (Moke) Drum and Tammy (Kent) McClamroch; and a cousin, Teresa Grooms.
A memorial service for Morris will be held on Saturday, January 25, at 2:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel of Yadkinville. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the nurses and respiratory therapists in the ICU at Wake Forest Baptist Health for their love and care over Morris.
