Martha Stevens

Martha B. Stevens, 94, of Bellefonte, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Centre Care. Born on April 12, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Gagermeier) Burns. On August 21, 1954, she married her beloved husband, Charles W. Stevens, who preceded her in death on July 20, 2014, after sharing nearly 60 years of marriage together.

Martha and Charles owned Phoenix Engineering for 22 years.

She is survived by her children, Gary Stevens, Sean Stevens, both of Pleasant Gap, and Diane Stevens of Bellefonte; grandchildren, Melissa Stevens of Pleasant Gap, and Michael Stevens of Bali, Indonesia, and her great grandchildren, Colby Prisk of Pleasant Gap, and Mason Stevens of Fredericksburg, VA. Also surviving is her brother, Robert H. Burns of Johnstown.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Tina Stevens, and her siblings, Anna Jean "Bebe" Thorpe and John "Mickey" S. Burns.

Martha was a member of St. John's the Evangelist Catholic Church in Bellefonte. She enjoyed gardening, reading and sewing. She also enjoyed cooking, especially French foods! More than anything, she treasured the time that she spent with her family.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home, with Father Joshi Narisetti officiating. Burial services will immediately follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Bellefonte.
