Martha M. Terry

Martha M. Terry of S. Weymouth passed away peacefully on August 9, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Charles A. Terry and the late Mary L. (Madden) Terry. She is survived by her beloved son Robert R. Sheehan, Jr of S. Weymouth and also siblings MaryJane Dennehy, Elizabeth Terry, Ellen Curtin, Joseph Terry, Charles A. Terry, Jr, Grace McMorrow and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins to the third generation.
She graduated from Weymouth High in 1965 and in the late sixties was a model for Carol Nashe Agency in Boston. Beginning in the 1970's, Martha became an avid political campaigner for both local and Democratic and Republican candidates ending with her work in 2016 on the Weymouth Mayoral campaign.
Matha was employed by Moore Business Forms for over ten years as an Executive Sales Assistant and finally as Supervisor of the Special Service Division. After leaving Moore she became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and worked as a home health aide in nursing homes and at Massachusetts Respiratory Hospital.
Martha's greatest happiness in life was raising her son Bobby. Watching him play baseball and hockey was her favorite pastime. Spending time with him lifted her spirits and brought her great joy every day. His quick wit always made her laugh. Family and friends remember Martha for her kindness, generosity, and her wonderful smile.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday, August 25th from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday, August 26th, from prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
