Martha Thompson Obituary
She has spent the last fifteen years living the "beach" life and was an avid volunteer in her local beach community. She loved listening to a variety of music and was a huge Alabama football fan. "Marty" will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary White and brother, Dr. David White (Charlotte).
Survivors include her children, Anita McManus (Mark) and Tom Thompson (Kelli); grandchildren, Jessica Badgett, Hunter Thompson (Shayleigh), Skylar Thompson, and Peyton Thompson; step-grandchildren, Matthew McManus (Jess) and Madison McManus (Annie); great grandchildren, Alexandra Badgett, Ryan Badgett, Harper Thompson, Carter Thompson, and Parker Thompson; sister, Anne Davidson and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will include; Hunter Thompson, Ryan Badgett, Jeremy Duncan, Bradley Scott, Craig Yates, and Heath Yates.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 27, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Collier-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, 824 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden, Alabama 35901, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate. Martha will be laid to rest in Altoona Walnut Grove Cemetery, 5395 Walnut Grove Road, Walnut Grove, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make a memorial donation in memory of Marty to Worship on the Water, 10274 State Hwy 104, Fairhope, Alabama 36532.

Thinking of this family losing their loved ones so young I watched the White children grow up. Loved their parents- Mary & Harold, enjoyed fellowship with them at their home
Such a remarkable family.

Marty, you will forever be in my thoughts, you were a very good friend, I would text you during bad weather just to check on you, you would reply, I will be sitting here in my chair.
You loved flowers and lots of them, loved volunteering, always having fun with your pals, most of all your baby, Gracie.
It's been since Ivan hit OBA that we have been neighbor's in the same park, you would sit outside and talk or you would be in your golf cart.
I will forever think of you . Rest in peace my friend.
