Martin Juarez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thompson Funeral Chapel from Aug. 26 to Aug. 27, 2021.
Martin Juarez, 64, of Goodyear, Arizona died on August 24, 2021 in Goodyear, Arizona. He was born June 14, 1957 in Denver, Colorado to Cruz T. Juarez and Ermalinda Anguano.

Marty loved being in the Army and boxing. He always ran miles through that old German town, come rain or sunshine. Much later when he could not run anymore, he took miles long walks through the German Forest. He hid a piece of branch in the woods with his name carved into it on his last walk in Germany. I bet it is still there.

There was a lot more life between coming to Germany, leaving the second time and then staying for good in Arizona. So I, as his wife, want to acknowledge all his family and friends and acknowledge what a tremendous loss his passing on is for you also. Let's live by Marty's wishes to always be positive, never lose hope and always respect each other.

Marty is survived by his spouse, Sigrid Juarez, adopted daughter, Stephanie Hamilton, stepsons, Patrick Winter, Markus Winter, and Thomas Winter, sisters, Molly Ortiz, Hope Mares, Teresa Barela, Lupe Samm, and Elizabeth Guerra, brother, Salvador Juarez, and grandchildren, MiLa Winter, Caleb Hamilton, and Joshua Hamilton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cruz Trujillo Juarez and Ermalinda Anguano, brothers, Alfredo Juarez and Steve Juarez, and sister Lucy Reyes.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to lupus.org.

A funeral will be held at 9:30 am on Monday, August 30, 2021 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3801 W. Ohio Ave. Denver, CO 80219.

Marks of the True Christian

9 Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; 10 love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor. 11 Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. 13 Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are. 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. 18 If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. 19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave room for the wrath of God; for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord." 20 No, "if your enemies are hungry, feed them; if they are thirsty, give them something to drink; for by doing this you will heap burning coals on their heads." 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
