Martin A. "Marty" Kane, 61, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at his home in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania.
Born on February 15, 1964, at the Army military base in Kaiserslautern, Germany, Marty was the son of the late Louis and Anna J. (Magaro) Kane, Sr. He was a proud graduate of Bishop McDevitt Catholic High School, Class of 1982.
Marty was a man of simple joys and quiet passions. A gifted and lifelong musician, he was rarely seen without a guitar and amp in the trunk of his car-always ready to play at a moment's notice. Whether strumming his guitar, solving crosswords, or feeding the neighborhood cats, Marty found peace in the little things. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was for a walk, fresh air, or just to be close to nature.
Above all, Marty was a devoted father. He was deeply involved in his daughter Alex's life, and his love for his family was steadfast and unconditional. He will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, and his generous heart.
Marty is survived by his beloved daughter, Alex Kane; his sister, Lisa Anastasi; brothers Louie Kane (Shirl), Mic Kane (Deb), Jeff Kane (Michelle), and Tony Kane (Becky); as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Anna; sister, Karyn Malone; brothers, Carl Kane, Richard P. Kane; and nephew, Richard K. Kane.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Harrisburg.
Marty's presence will be deeply missed, but the music of his life will echo in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
