Martin Keating Obituary
Martin (Marty) J. Keating, 89, of Clifton Heights, PA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on November 28, 2023.
Marty was the son of the late Frank and Betty Keating and was born and raised in East Lansdowne, PA. He attended West Catholic High School and was a member of St. Eugene's Parish, Primos, PA for 60 years. Marty was a proud veteran of the United States Army and worked at Exxon Refinery as a truck driver for 35 years. He was recognized for his strong work ethic and received many certificates for excellence in safe driving.
Marty enjoyed his retirement of 30 years and was always available to lend a helping hand to his family and friends on repairs to their homes and cars. He loved spending time at the casinos playing cards and slots with his wonderful wife. Marty loved spending time at the Jersey Shore especially at the Tides Oceanview in North Wildwood fishing and boating with his family and friends. He was admired for his outgoing personality and was always the life of the party. He included all of his friends as part of his family.
Marty was the beloved husband of Joan (McGough) Keating for 62 Years until her passing in Dec 2022. He was a loving father to Joan (Mike) Christie, Susan (John) Walsh, Marty, Jr. (Margaret) Keating, James (Judy) Keating, and Sharon (Brian) Lynch. Cherished grandfather to 17 grandchildren and great grandfather to 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother in law James (Joanne) Mcgough and sister in laws Jane Comero and Barbara Keating and many nephews, nieces and cousins. He is predeceased by his brothers Frank, Bill, and John and his sister Jane Berry and also his grandson Colin Lynch.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Monday, December 4, 2023 9:30 am St. Eugene's Church, 200 S. Oak Avenue, Primos, PA 19018 and to his Funeral Mass 11:00am in the Church. Burial private. Contributions can be made to Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) at www.curesma.org
