Martin Robert Lepper, born on May 14, 1951, in Norfolk, Virginia, peacefully passed away on July 26, 2025, in Arnold, Maryland. Martin was a dedicated BioMed Tech at Johns Hopkins Hospital for an impressive 39 years, where he made significant contributions to the well-being of countless individuals.
Martin's journey was characterized by his immense love for his family and the joy he brought to those around him. He found joy in sharing laughter and creating memories, often with his wife of 38 years, Deborah Austin, by his side. Together, they cherished their bond through life’s ups and downs, forming a partnership filled with love and support. As a proud father, Martin leaves behind two daughters, Heather Reid and her husband Mike, and Kristie Talley and her husband Yaphet. The vibrant life of their family reflects the warmth he instilled in them. Martin was a loving grandfather to his adored grandchildren: Isabella Talley, Theodore Talley, Gabriel Talley, Jack Reid, Ciara Reid, and Georgia Reid. His passion for life and infectious enthusiasm made him a figure of unwavering support and affection in their lives.
Beyond family, Martin cherished the bonds he created with his siblings: brothers Gibson Lepper and his wife, Susan, Dennis Lepper and his wife, Danielle, and sister Nancy Nida and their families, including beloved nephews, Greg Nida Jr., Patrick Lepper, Daniel Lepper and his wife, Kristin, Sean Lepper, and niece, Dominique Lepper. He also found delight in being an uncle to his great-niece Juliet, great-nephew Bennett, and great-niece Kaylei, who brightened his days.
Martin possessed a deep love for Disney and held a special admiration for the Baltimore Orioles, particularly for the legend Cal Ripken. His interests extended to bowling, where he not only enjoyed hitting the lanes but also imparted his knowledge and experience as a coach to others. In his younger years, Martin was proud to serve in the Civil Air Patrol, an accomplishment that remained close to his heart. He was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Hazel and George Lepper, whose memories will forever be a part of his legacy.
