LIMA -- Martin H. "Mac" McWay Sr, 81 of Lima passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Lima Memorial Health System. Martin was born on April 10, 1941 in Lima, Ohio to Mildred West and Martin W. McWay, both preceding him in death. He was previously married to Diane McWay, who precedes him in death. He was married to Clara McWay, and she passed away on March 1, 2020.
Martin was in the U.S. Army. He retired from BP Chemical, after working there for more than 30 years. He enjoyed listening to R&B oldies, especially Smokey Robinson. Martin loved watching court shows, crime shows and Westerns. He also loved watching NASCAR and NFL games on TV. He was a huge Tom Brady fan.
Survivors include: four daughters, Sheila McWay of Dayton, Rhonda (David) Allen of Utah, Jillian (Mario Mabrey) Drexler of Cincinnati and Julianne (Michael) Pugh of Lima; and three sons, Martin (Tonya Rutledge) McWay, Jr of Dayton, Michael (Melinda Gordon) McWay of Lima and Ross McWay. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well many other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the dialysis and ICU staff at Lima Memorial Health System for taking wonderful care of their father. They'd also like to thank his son's friends, Keithy Jackson and Daniel Walton for their help, as well.
Per Martin's wishes, he will be cremated and no services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bayliff & Son Funeral Home.

I had the pleasure of working with MAC for 25+ years! I myself am a military veteran. Mac and I bowled together on the same team for years! Always loved listening to his stories, he could always make you laugh!
