MARTIN J. NORSIC, III age 79, beloved husband for 53 years of Margaret “Peggy” (nee Mosall); loving father of Michael (Anna Genovese), Rebecca and Daniel (Amy Tolley); devoted grandfather of Cody, Josephina and Madison; cherished son of the late Martin Jr. and Irene (nee Bonazza); dearest brother of Michael (wife Connie) and the late Nanette; treasured brother-in-law of Patricia & Steve Sova and Pamela & Harry Oschip; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Special Forces Veteran.
As one of three children, Martin was born May 8, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from North Royalton High School in 1963 and continued on at Chicago’s DeVry University. His education and interests led him to become an owner/operator of a computer engineering firm. As a hardworking individual, he also owned and operated Bonazza Pizzeria. Earlier in life, Uncle Sam had called Martin to serve in the military, which he proudly did with the Army Special Forces. With that history, he became a member of the VFW in both Eastlake and Willoughby and the American Legion #678. Being social with a sense of humor, Martin greatly enjoyed his time as a charter boat captain and being a member of the Chagrin River Salmon Association. His hobbies included beekeeping, model airplane building, cooking and traveling throughout the US. Martin and his wife Peggy lovingly raised and provided for their family, which started with three children and grew to include three grandchildren. They were the highlight of his life and will carry on their family’s legacy and name. Martin passed on January 21, 2025. The family asks that you join them in honoring and celebrating Martin.
