Martin Walker Williams, 77, of Orange County, died on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Born in Tucson, Arizona. Mr. Williams was the son of the late Isaac Benjamin Williams and Opal Avis Walker Williams.
Mr. Williams enlisted in the US Army immediately after high school. He served from 1967 to 1969, spending this time serving with the 101st Airborne in Vietnam. While serving, he received numerous awards, including multiple Purple Hearts.
Shortly after leaving the military, Mr. Williams began his career in auto body repair. He worked at several body shops throughout his career, including becoming owner/operator of The Shade Tree body shop in Roxboro.
Mr. Williams is survived by three daughters, Tracie Ham of Tampa, Florida; Renee Williams of Sparta, Kentucky, Michelle Russo (Joe) of Knightdale, NC; two sons, Tommy Williams (Brittany) of Rougemont, NC, Philip Palmer (Sally) of Miami, Florida; one brother, Thomas "Tom" Williams (Deonna) of Arkansas; one sister, Mavis Pust (Gordon) of Phoenix, Arizona; along with nine grandchildren, Jessie-Ann Hetherington, Issac Ham, Sydney Russo, Melanie Penny, William, Nathan, and Liberty Gore, Paulina Palmer and Layla Patterson; one great grandchild, Kaspian; three bonus children, Destiney Campbell, Candice Feldman (Hank), Danielle Campbell; three bonus grandchildren, Jakob Campbell (Shelby), Emily and Dakota Feldman; and one bonus great grandchild, Judah.
Memorial service will be held 2PM, November 11, 2025 at the Brooks & White Chapel with the Pastor Jack Hilliard officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service 1-2PM.
