Martin L. Younker, 84, of Richmond Township, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday morning, October 17, 2025.
Born March 27, 1941, in Maidencreek Township, he was the son of the late Loretta (Wagner) and Martin A. Younker. He and the love of his life, his wife of 60 years, Darlene M. (Grube) Younker, were married on March 27, 1965, in Friedens Lutheran Church, New Ringgold, PA.
Marty was a life long dairy farmer, having owned Red Fever Farm, Maidencreek Township, and also farming alongside his sons and grandsons at Kirbyville Holsteins. He was a member of the Fleetwood Grange for over 50 years, a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, the Pennsylvania Holstein Association and the Berks County Holstein Association. Marty was also a member of St. John's Gernant's Church, Leesport.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Darlene, are his children, Kathy L. (Younker) Adam, wife of Ernest Adam, Phillips, WI, Bryan R. Younker, companion of Lillian Brubaker, Kutztown, and James M. Younker, husband of Susan M. (Donough) Younker, Richmond Township. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jolene and her husband, Bruce, Tina and her husband, Nate, Kimberly & her husband, Billy, Steven and his wife, Melanie, Bradley and his wife, Kellee, Eric, Brandon and his wife, Kate, Andrew and his wife, Jala, and Joel and his fiancée, Jen, his great-grandchildren, Lexi, Levi, Jenna, Ally, Emily, Nathan, Stephanie, Alex, Allison, Preslee, Cash, Raelynn, Casen, Avaleigh, Amelia, Robert and one on the way, his brother, Marvin Younker, husband of Sandra Younker, Mohrsville, and by many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Marty was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Addison Marie Younker, his sisters, Beatrice Strause, Shirley Luckenbill and Arletta Leahy, and by his brother, Leroy Younker.
Viewings for Marty will be held on Thursday evening, October 23, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, and again on Friday morning, October 24, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Marty's Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. Burial will follow in St. John's Gernant's Cemetery, Leesport.
