Marty Derryl Moody, 60, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family after an extended illness. He was born in Ft. Benning, Georgia to the late Derryl S. Moody and Kay Durrence Moody and was a 1979 graduate of Effingham County High School. After graduation Marty entered in the road construction field working with Sam Finley, Shuman Construction and then finishing his career with APAC after 32 years. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by:
Children Colt White (Meghan) of Nevils, Georgia
Tori Blair (Jason) of Ellabell, Georgia
Megan Moody (Josh) of Ellabell, Georgia
Logan Moody ( Kaitlyn) of Rincon, Georgia
Mother of his Children, Sandy Moody of Rincon, Georgia
Siblings, Marla Dyson of Rincon, Georgia
Michael Moody (Cheryl) of Statesboro, Georgia
Laine Bragg (Chris) of Glennville, Georgia
Eight grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Friday, May 19, 2023 at Loves Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 19, 2023 at Loves Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Care and Services are entrusted to Brannen Family Funeral Services, Glennville, Georgia.
