Marva Lea Hewlett (Barnes) age 75, died Thursday, November 27, 2025. She was born June 2,1950, in Dodge City KS and grew up in Bucklin KS.
Marva spent 20 years working for BOEING in Wichita KS, as an electrical engineer and working her way into becoming the Supervisor. After that she spent 10 yrs working for the Kansas Masonic Home in Wichita.
Marva enjoyed spending most of her time and spoiling her dogs, Harley, Cooper and Sydney. She also enjoyed spending her summers with friends and family at Cheney Lake. She enjoyed James Patterson books and loved preparing meals and desserts for family gatherings. She always looked forward to the summer months when the grandkids would come over and enjoy the swimming pool.
Marva is survived by her son, Mark S. Schulke, of Mulvane KS; Daughter, Angie R. & Jason T. Iverson of Derby KS. Grandchildren, Joshua (Emily) Schulke of Mulvane, Jessica (Jameson)McClellan of Rosehill, Jacob Iverson of Tonganoxie, KS, Zachary Iverson of Derby, KS; Nine great-grandchildren; Stepchildren, Tony, Angela, Michael Hewlett. Brothers Marvin Banes Jr. ( Mary) and Marshal (Nami) Barnes both of Wichita KS .Along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Marvin E. Barnes and Mildred H. Barnes (VanVoorhis), Husband Randall R. Hewlett, Grandson Brandon A. Sandoval-Iverson.
Visitation: Thursday December 11th, 2025 from 5-7pm. Funeral Services Friday December 12th, 2025, at 10:00am. Smith Family Mortuary 501 E. Louis Blvd. Mulvane KS 67110. Interment to follow at Mulvane cemetery.
