Marvel Oines Obituary
Marvel is now walking peacefully with the Lord on December 17, 2023, at the age of 89 after a lovingly wonderful life. Beloved wife, devoted mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. Preceded in death by her husband, David; mother, Leona; father, Albert; sister, Helen Arlene; brother, Howard; and grandchildren, Laurey Anne and Derek. Marvel was born to Albert and Leona Hellekson in Oslo Township, Volga, South Dakota on January 11, 1934. She had three sisters, Ardys, Helen Arlene and Ruth, and one brother, Howard (Christine). She was married to David Oines on July 28, 1954, in Oslo Township, Volga, South Dakota. This union resulted in five children, Reid, Coral, Bruce (Linda), Leslie and Rex (Debbie); six grandchildren, Laurey Anne, Lauren (Jennifer), Travis, Taylor, Dara and Derek; and two great-grandchildren, Felix and Sophia Marie. There will be a private family ceremony to celebrate Marvel's life. She will be interred at the burial site of her husband, David, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, St. Paul, Minnesota. Marvel will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
