Marvin Alexander Finn was born January 11, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the second of five children born to Marvin and Helen (Breckinridge) Finn. Marvin aka "Old Man" passed at his home on March 18, 2022 with a smile on his face.
Marvin attended Jefferson County Schools and then Job Corps. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. After returning home he worked at Byers, Shoney's, Cheddar Box and the Galt House Hotel until his health failed him. He followed in his father's footsteps when he took up carving roosters. Marvin was friendly, would help anyone and never met a stranger. He was a Louisville Cardinal basketball fan.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sherrie Taylor; 3 stepchildren, Delisha Taylor and Afreca Taylor; stepson, Antwan Taylor; 11 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren; sister, Lisa (Rodney) Woods; niece, Anjanette Lewis who helped care for him and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Breckinridge; father, Marvin Finn; sisters, Dianne Finn and Tamara Finn; brother, Christopher Finn and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws including Kenneth Taylor who helped care for him.
