Marvin D. Hale

Marvin D. Hale, 85, of Ringgold, GA, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. He was born on April 19, 1940, in Rossville, GA. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1959. Marvin enlisted in the U.S. Air Force soon after graduation and was a proud U.S. Veteran. He dedicated his entire career to a single company until his well earned retirement from the Bailey Company.

Marvin was a master woodworker with pieces of his handcrafted furniture in many homes. In his retirement, he was affectionately known as "The Swing Man," with his expertly built porch swings.

Marvin was gifted with the ability to take most anything apart and put back together again. People will remember his spirit, always ready with a quick joke, and a playful sense of humor-he loved to make people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Dorothy Hale; his brothers, Randall Hale and Alvin Hale; his in-laws, Gordon and Mildred Williams; and his brother-in-law, Rick Stanfield.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Wanda Williams Hale; his daughter, Kim (David) Morrow; his sister, Phyllis (Tommy) Johnson and Nancy Mullinix; sisters-in-law, Mildred Hale and Sandra Stanfield; nieces, Joy (Melissa) Stanfield, Kecia (Jeff) Greene; and many other nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

A special thanks to the McLemore family whose kindness and friendship meant the world to Marvin, especially Josh. Marvin had so many friends who became extended family in so many ways.

Per Marvin's wishes, there will be no public visitation or service prior to the private burial at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
