Marvin J Lindsey, age 79, passed away on October 3, 2025 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on June 4, 1946 in Dimone, Iowa to Marvin and Mary Lindsey. Marvin married Mary Gardner on September 1, 1995.

He loved to play chess with his grandchildren, tinkering with things, wood burning, and glass art. He always put his family before himself, and strived to be a role model to his kids - even in his later days he would do puzzles, math, and anything that would keep his mind sharp. He cherished his family and tried to lead them in God’s way. He was a God loving man and tried to live by the word of his Lord and savior.

He is survived by his Children: Shaun, Jessica, Xantippy, Linda, Sarah and Step Children: Duane, Paula, Terry, Tommy. He also left behind many Grandkids, and Great-grand kids.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Marvin Steven Lindsey, his loving wife Mary Lindsey who waited for him patiently.

Funeral services will be held on October 25, 2025 at 11 AM - 12:45 PM at McKinley Ward located at 1883 South, West Temple Street, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84115. Donations can be sent to Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary and Cemetery; 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah, 84070. 801-566-1249.

Interment will be at Lake Hills Memorial Cemetery: 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah, 84070 at 1:30 PM.
