Marvin Ray Partee, 83, of McArthur, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Edgewood Manor of Wellston. He was born July 28, 1942, in McArthur, son of the late Herschel and Zella (Sowers) Partee. Marvin was married to Jo (Mason) Partee who survives.
Marvin served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired after over 30 years with AEP and he was a member of the First Christian Church of McArthur. Marvin was a 50 year member of Delta Lodge #207 F&AM in McArthur, a member of Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, the Aladdin Shrine, McArthur Eagles, and McArthur VFW.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Jo; daughter, Joy (David) Ferguson of McArthur; grandchildren, Kristin Hanson of Ft. Walton, Florida and Kyle (Carly) Ferguson of Wellston; great grandchildren, Grant Ferguson and Holden Ferguson; brother, Larry Partee of Chillicothe; and nieces and nephews.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Janie Partee; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Partee.
Marvin’s family would like to express their sincere thanks for the care given by the staff of Edgewood Manor.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the Garrett Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St, McArthur, with Marvin’s nephew, Andy Partee officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Family and friends may visit from 11 am to 1 pm Wednesday at the funeral home with a Masonic Service at 12:45 pm.
Donations can be made in memory of Marvin to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Aladdin Shrine.
