Marvin Robinson

In Loving Memory of Marvin Robinson (July 24, 1938 - November 26, 2025) With heavy hearts but joyful memories we announce the passing of Marvin Robinson, who left us on November 26, 2025, at the age of 87. Born in Biloxi, Mississippi on July 24th, 1938, Marvin was a loving husband, stepdad, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose humor, kindness, and laughter touched everyone he met. Native of Biloxi, Marvin grew up with a love of fishing and a natural gift for making people laugh. He was a man of many stories, jokes, and a personality that could light up any room.
Marvin was a devoted husband to his wife, Carol Robinson, and a loving stepfather to Jack and Jody Ewing. He deeply adored his grandchildren, Dustin (Tiffani) Ewing, Cheyenne Ewing (Brenden Harrell), Caitlyn Swinford, and Christopher Swinford (Sarah Johnson) and his great grandson Fisher. To his stepsons and grandchildren, he was a father figure constantly offering guidance, support, and endless love. He was a blessing from the Lord for everyone in his family. In his professional life, Marvin predominately served as an insurance agent for Nationwide Insurance Company. He served ten years in the Army National Guard out of Biloxi. In his early years, he enjoyed flying single engine Cessna planes. Outside of work, Marvin enjoyed traveling the country with his wife Carol, spending time with his grandkids, and fishing in the Gulf, the Back Bay, and the rivers. His favorite moments included having a fishing pole in his hand. Marvin leaves behind a legacy of generosity, kindness, love, humor, and countless memories with the ones he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Robinson, his Step- Sons, Jack and Jody Ewing, his grandkids, Dustin (Tiffani) Ewing, Cheyenne Ewing (Brenden Harrell), Caitlyn Swinford, and Christopher Swinford (Sarah Johnson), and the newest addition, great- grandson Kaden "Fisher" Ewing. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Carol Ann (Joe) Davis, Laura Mae (Glen) Jordan, his brothers, Dale Robinson, and Arlan Robinson, and his parents Ernestine and Fred Robinson.
A memorial service will be held Monday, December 1st, 2025 at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services Chapel at 6631 Washington Ave Ocean Springs, MS 39564. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 12:00PM, where we will gather to celebrate Marvin's life, share stories, and laugh just as he wanted. A short service will follow at 12:00PM.
