Mary Ann Ambuehl, 92, of Troy, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, IL.

She was born on February 12, 1933, in Bonne Terre, MO, to Roy and Wilma (nee Sieberg) Henderson.

Mary Ann grew up in Highland, IL, and graduated from Highland High School. She worked as a manager for the 4-0 Quick Schop in Troy, IL, for many years. Mary Ann was a member of Friedens UCC Church and a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary in Troy, IL. In her younger years, she liked to go camping and fishing, then later in life she enjoyed cooking, sewing, and drawing. She was always very active with the church and their events. Mary Ann was honest, sincere, caring, and strong. She was a people person, could talk to anyone, and above all else, she took excellent care of her family. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred M. Ambuehl; parents, Roy and Wilma Henderson; sons, Kevin Ambuehl and Roger Ambuehl; and brother, Bobby Henderson, in infancy.

Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Annette (James) Cook, Troy, IL; daughter-in-law, Lori Ambuehl; grandchildren, Ronnie (Keely) Stice, Erica Cook, Brian Cook, Colleen (JR) Walker, and Eric Ambuehl; great grandchildren, Emily Wallace and Wesley Wallace.

Memorial donations may be made to Hitz Memorial Home or to the family.

Graveside Service: Thursday, October 9, 2025, 1:00 pm, at Grantfork UCC Cemetery in Grantfork, IL
