Mary Anne Dvorachek, age 79 of Georgetown, Ohio passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born June 21, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late Thomas and Dolores (Worley) Buell. Mary Anne was a dedicated educator and cherished community member. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Cincinnati, which laid the foundation for her 30 year teaching career. She devoted herself to shaping young minds at Millvale Elementary School in Cincinnati, Ohio and the Georgetown Exempted Village Elementary School in Georgetown, Ohio. Mary Anne was deeply involved in her community. She was an active member of St. George Catholic Church in Georgetown, Ohio where she was honored to be a Dame in the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher and her commitment to service extended to her role with the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 Ladies Auxiliary. Additionally, she served as a member and former president of the Brown County Hospital Auxiliary, where she played a significant role in building and funding the Neonatal Department, positively impacting the lives of countless babies and their families. A lover of literature and travel, Mary Anne cherished exploring the world with her husband. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her granddaughters, creating lasting memories. Her contributions to her community and her unwavering love for education and family will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Mrs. Dvorachek is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of nearly 54 years – Ronald S. Dvorachek whom she married August 14, 1971; two children – Sarah L. Dvorachek of Cincinnati, Ohio and John J. Dvorachek and wife Alexandra of Nashville, Tennessee and three granddaughters – Theodora, Annelie and Genevieve Dvorachek.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the St. George Catholic Church, 509 East State Street, Georgetown, Ohio 45121. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family at the St. Mary Cemetery in Arnheim, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
