Mary Arnold, a loving soul who touched the hearts of many, passed away on June 2, 2024, in her hometown of Port Arthur, Texas. She was born on March 11, 1952, in the Port Arthur, Texas to her loving parents, Neal and Pearl Arnold.
Mary's voice was a gift that she shared generously with all who were lucky enough to hear her sing. Her performances began in high school, igniting a passion that would define her life's journey.
Mary's proudest accomplishments speak volumes of her illustrious singing career. From her early days with the "Bare Essentials Band" to mesmerizing audiences at Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch in Nashville with the Jesse Stewart Band, Mary's voice painted melodies that will echo through time. Her collaboration at a Ronnie Milsap concert in Houston and enchanting duets with her sister Marilyn Broussard at the Boudain Hut are etched in the memories of all who heard them. Singing alongside Jesse Stewart and Riding High Band was a joy she held dear, as was her time with the Creole Cooking Band.
Beyond her musical endeavors, Mary Arnold was known for her unwavering love for family. She held them close to her heart, finding solace and joy in moments spent with nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Mary. Her kindness and devotion enriched their lives, creating lasting bonds that will endure beyond her physical presence.
Mary is survived by her sisters: Imelda Talbert (John) of Port Arthur, TX; Dixie LeBouef of Port Arthur, TX; Marilyn Broussard of Port Neches, TX. In addition to her sisters, Mary leaves behind nieces: Carlene Singleton (Larry), Connie Anselmo (Anthony), Dodie Harrington (Al), Nicky Lebouef, nephews: Neal LeBeouf (John Perez), Steven Knott, Jerrod Broussard (Fiance' - Paige Broussard); as well as many great nieces and nephews.
A visitation service to honor and celebrate Mary's life will be held on June 17, 2024, starting at 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM at 2001 Nall St, Port Neches, TX 77651. This gathering will serve as a heartfelt tribute to a remarkable individual whose spirit touched so many.
As we bid farewell to Mary Arnold, let us remember her not with tears of sorrow but with smiles that reflect the beauty she brought into our lives. May her songs linger in our hearts as a reminder of the passion and love she shared so abundantly.
