Mary dedicated 21 years of her life to Rite Aid, serving as a cashier where her friendly demeanor and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on her colleagues and customers alike. Her commitment to her work was only surpassed by her devotion to her faith and family.

As a cherished member of Freedom Fellowship Church in Virginia Beach, Mary found strength and community in her faith. She was a beacon of light to those around her, always offering a helping hand and a compassionate heart.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; James Dines and Mary Alice Yount. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her two daughters, Samantha Phibbs and Amanda Marshall; her son, John "J.T." Barber; her brothers, Glen Russell and Mark E. Dines as well as a grandson, Karl Marshall and a granddaughter, Iva Mae Barber. She also grew up surrounded by a large extended family. They will continue to carry her spirit in their hearts and lives.
