She will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Lou Pommier; children, Penny (Buddy) Delahoussaye, Keith (Gloria) Pommier, Wendy (Terry) Luzier, Donna (Rick) Spivey, and Jenny (Bret) Malcolm; grandchildren, Tiffanie Veazey, Nicholas Luzier, Stephanie Malcolm, Ryan Delahoussaye, Jason Delahoussaye, Nadine Alvarez, and Katie LaPorte; great grandchildren, Loreal Veazey, Noah Luzier, Blayde Luzier, Lanie Luzier, Trae Gonsulin, Cody Bond, Colton Ray, Chloe McClain, and Avery Delahoussaye; and siblings, Verbie Gennuso, Neuben Benoit, and Donna Richard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amar and Edolia Benoit; brother, Eddie Benoit; sisters, Joyce Franquis, Barbaranell Hebert, and Brenda Bearb; and stepson, Mark Pommier.
Mary loved their dog, Beau Jacque. When she was younger, she loved to mow the lawn and wash her car. She enjoyed watching classic movies and listening to 50's music, especially Elvis and the Everly Brothers.
She made everyone laugh with her stories and jokes. She was a very giving person and loved spoiling her children even after they were married.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors and staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Heart Hospital for taking excellent care of Mary,
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Louisiana Funeral Services and Crematory 108 Hardware Rd Broussard on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 10:00 AM until time of services.
