With profound sadness her family announces the passing of Mary Louise "ML" Berg (née Armstrong), who left us peacefully on August 7, 2025, at the age of 89.
Mary was deeply devoted to, and loved by, her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, whose lives were touched by her warmth, humor, and generous spirit - relationships she cherished deeply throughout her life.
Mary was born on January 20, 1936, in Salem, Massachusetts, and grew up in Falmouth, where she developed the values of kindness, resilience, and compassion that would define her life. Mary was predeceased by her devoted husband, Roy A. Berg, Jr., with whom she shared 47 years of marriage. She was the cherished daughter of the late William T. Armstrong and the late Agnes Armstrong (née Reardon), and the beloved sister of Ellen Ferrelli of Ft. Lauderdale, and brother of the late William "Bill" Armstrong, Jr. of Duxbury.
A proud and dedicated professional, Mary worked as an administrative assistant for Eastern Airlines, Imperial Chemical Industries, and AstraZeneca. She spent many years volunteering for local charities and Southport Community events. Her warmth, humor, and dedication left lasting impressions on colleagues and friends alike.
Mary was a woman of admirable strength and independence. She was remarkable in every sense, compassionate, thoughtful, brave, strong, and kind. She met life's joys and challenges with grace and courage, always placing the needs of others before her own.
Above all, Mary was devoted to her family. She is survived by her three loving children: Kathleen Pascale (Mike), Brenda Heon (Steve), and Christopher Berg (Christine). She was a proud grandmother to Christopher (Rachel), Connor (Denise), Nichole and Kendall, and a proud great-grandmother (Nana Nana) to Julian and Noelle. Her love for them was boundless, and her joy in their achievements endless.
Mary's life was a testament to love, resilience, and kindness. She will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
