Mary Bernaski Obituary
Mary Catherine Bernaski of Middletown, N.Y. passed away on December 10, 2025 at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Newburgh, N.Y. She was 91.
The daughter of Charles Francis and Jeanette Kelleher Duffy, Mary was born on June 16, 1934 in Middletown.
She was the widow of Edward Bernaski.
Mary retired from the Orange County Trust Company in Middletown, N.Y. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She was also a member of the Middletown Golden Age Seniors at Mulberry House.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother Charles Francis Duffy Jr.
She is survived by her children Michele (Thomas) Smith of the Villages, Florida; Richard (Bonnie) Bernaski of Middletown and Mary Jo (Michael) McComb of Smyrna, Georgia.
Her grandchildren Ryan (Jennifer) Bernaski ; Lauren Law (Ben); Bryan Smith (Chelsea); Christopher Smith (Lauren); Nicole Sikes (Stephen); MacKenzie McComb and Tyler McComb and she is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday December 19, 2025 at 11 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 90 Euclid Avenue Middletown, N.Y.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Middletown, N.Y.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 90 Euclid Ave. Middletown, N.Y.
