Mary I Buird

Mary I Buird was born to Mabel Adelaid and William George White on May 25, 1929. She grew up in Floodwood, Minnesota on a farm and attended Floodwood High School. During her Sophomore year Mary met Henry Joseph Buird and they fell in love. During her junior and senior year of high school Mary and Henry wrote love letters to each other while he served in the US Navy. Upon Henry's return from his service in the Navy and Mary's graduation from high school May and Henry were married on July 6, 1947 in St Louis, Minnesota.
Together Mary and Henry raised 4 children, Beverly Anne, Daniel Joseph, Gary William, and Thomas Henry in Rockford, Illinois. In 1968, Mary gave birth to their 5th child, Christine Marie. Shortly after the family moved to Dunedin, Florida and purchased a house on Roanoke Street where Mary continued to reside until she made her journey to heaven on September 13, 2025.
Throughout the years Mary and the family were blessed with three Granddaughters, Kimberly, Jennifer, Dosia Kai, five Grandsons, Matthew, Brian, Kevin, Scott, and George, as well as, 3 Great Granddaughters, Skylar, MacKenzie, Masyn, and 6 Great Grandsons, Brandon, Dylan, Brooks, Pierce, Zane and George.
Mary was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor whose memory will never be forgotten.
