Mary Lou Clark passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025. Her Lord and Savior took her home to spend eternity in Heaven, where she was embraced in the loving arms of her father, John Travis Kantz, her mother, Laura Fay Kantz, and her oldest Brother, Roger Kantz.

Mary Lou was born in Morrilton, Arkansas on November 22, 1952, and moved to Fort Worth, Texas at an early age. After graduating from Eastern Hills High School, she attended Texas Tech University where she pursued a degree in education. Upon graduation, she began teaching in Fort Worth, Texas. In 1981 she married the love of her life, Dennis Clark, and moved to Arlington to start their family. While raising three boys, Mary Lou and Dennis owned and operated a successful video rental business. In 1995 they became permanent residents of Bosque County, where she resumed her career in education as a 1st grade teacher at Meridian Elementary; a career that spanned 19 years, where she touched countless lives and built lifelong friendships.

Her commitment to her faith was evident in all aspects of her life, and she consistently put her trust in God to lead her in important discussions and decision-making. As an active member of Bible Study Fellowship and a part of a Life Group at her church, she devoted a countless number of hours to strengthening her knowledge and understanding of scripture. For many years she volunteered at Vacation Bible School to lead young children in the Baptist church to foster a love for Jesus in the same way that she loved the Lord.

Mary Lou lived every day of her life with an abundant amount of love in her heart and a genuine happy demeanor toward everyone she met. She always found the good in others and was quick to offer help to those in need. Her capacity for love and kindness was immeasurable. She was truly a light for good in her approach to life and was loved by all who came to know her. Her smile, her laugh, her infectious and uplifting spirit undoubtedly enriched the lives of her students, colleagues, family, and loved ones.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Dennis Clark, her three sons and their spouses, Kevin and Paige Clark, Chase and Ryanne Clark, and Ryan and Allison Clark, as well as her six grandchildren Lindsay, Landry, Collin, Hayes, Graham and Colton. She is also survived by her sister and spouse, Margaret and Wes Walloch and her brother and spouse John and Gael Kantz.

She will forever be honored and loved by her family.
