Mary Lou Colangelo

Mary Lou (Murray) Colangelo, Stagecoach Road, Marmora, NJ, formerly from Scranton, PA then Whites Ferry Road, Falls, PA passed away on Tuesday June 28, 2022 at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, Galloway, NJ.
Born in Scranton on September 13, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary Detz Murray.
Mary Lou was a graduate of West Scranton High School, class of 1951 and was a former employee of Bell Telephone and a former employee of PennDOT in Tunkhannock, PA. She was an active member of St. Mary's Church in Lake Winola and a former Democratic committeewoman for Falls Township.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family deeply.
She is survived by sons, William R. Colangelo, of Marmora, NJ and Joseph Colangelo, of Falls, PA; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Francis; sisters, Margeret Ann Clicquennoi, of Columbus, OH and Patricia Walsh, of Vestal, NY; step-grandson, Craig Travers.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mary Lou's mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Thursday July 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM from the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 99 E Tioga St, Tunkhannock, PA 18657 to be celebrated by Rev. Patrick Albert. Interment will be held in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday July 6, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 West Tioga Street Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
