Mary Jeanne (Laferriere) Cote, 96, of Bristol, widow of Roger J. Cote, Sr., died on Monday (April 7, 2025) at The Pines at Bristol.
"Jeanne" was born on June 13, 1928, in Fort Kent, ME and was one of nine children of the late Joseph and Emma (Brasley) Laferriere.
She was raised in Fort Kent where she attended school. She then moved to Bristol where she was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church and a member of the Rosary Society and the women's guild.
Jeanne enjoyed playing cards, dancing, puzzles, and knitting. She was devoted to the Rosary and loved her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Bristol Senior Center and the Bristol French Club.
Jeanne is survived by five children: Patricia Voisine and husband, Donald of Bristol, Mark Cote and wife, Kim of Bristol, Marcia Hayes and husband, Kevin of Deerfield, MA, Janice Hannon and husband, Tim of Bristol, and John "Jay" Cote and wife, Denise of Bristol; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son: Roger J. Cote, Jr.; and her eight siblings: Albert, Lily, Clara, Willard, Eva, Joe, Oscar, and Leon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday (April 10, 2025) at 10 AM at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Thursday between 8:30 and 9:30 AM prior to the Mass.
