Mary Earline Ford Cromer "Miss Earline", 89, wife of William Lawrence Cromer, Jr. of 64 years, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, peacefully at her home with her family by her side.
Born October 16, 1936, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late George Herbert Ford and the late Mary Bochette Ford. She was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church and retired from Sumter Pediatrics after more than 50 years of service. Earline was a devoted and serving wife, mother, and "Nannie". She lived a life of love and service unto her family, friends, her Sumter Pediatrics' family, and her community. Most important, she lived a life in service to the Lord, Jesus Christ, as her Savior. Proverbs 31:28.
Survivors include her husband, W.L.; two sons, William L. "Larry" Cromer, III (Debbie) and Patrick L. Cromer (Melissa); four grandchildren, Justin Cromer (Caroline), Austin Cromer (Megan), Sarah McClam, and Lindsay Windham (Chad); a great-grandson, Greyson Cromer; five other great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Ford.
She was preceded in death by siblings, Jacqueline "Jackie" Ardis, Darkis Powers, Clinton Ford, Burtell Ford, Rosco Ford, Joyce Glasscock, Betty Joe Davis, Patricia Boykin.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Sumter First Church of God, 1835 Camden Hwy., with the Rev. Ron Bower officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Cromer, Patrick Cromer, Justin Cromer, Austin Cromer, Perron Cromer, and Ansel Owens.
Honorary pallbearers will be Britt Ford, David Ardis, Michael Ardis, Jeff Ardis, Brent Boykin, Marion Glasscock, Jeremy Woodham, and John Thomas Woodham, III.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Sunday at Sumter First Church of God.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sumter First Church of God Children's Ministry or Youth Ministry, 1835 Camden Hwy., Sumter, SC 29153.
