Mary J. Daniell, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, in Centerville, Texas, at the age of 76. Born on July 3, 1949, in Hastings, Nebraska, to Lester and Agnes (Mohler) Allison, Mary lit up the lives of all who knew her.
At the tender age of fifteen, Mary embarked on her lifelong journey of love by marrying her husband, Raymond. She was a spirited individual with a passion for the beauty industry, which inspired her to attend cosmetology school. Over the years, Mary and Raymond traveled extensively due to his job, leading her children to experience a colorful array of schools along the way. However, she made the wise decision to settle the family down in Normangee, Texas to provide a stable home for her children as they continued their education. Mary worked at various jobs in and around Normangee, ending her work career working with special needs children at North Zulch ISD.
Mary was a proud and active member of the Normangee #87 Order of the Eastern Star, where her kindness and dedication shone brightly. Known as a servant at heart, her greatest joy came from loving and caring for her family members, who will fondly remember her warmth and unconditional love.
Mary was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Raymond Dariell Daniell; and siblings, Katherine Hall and Marvin Odell Allison. Survivors include children, Robert Daniell (Kathy) of Salado, Lisa Noey (Steve) of Marquez, Shawn Smith (Hal) of Centerville and Dariell Ray Daniell (Kristina) of Willis; brothers, Michael Allison (Laurie), Paul Allison (Lisa Marie), and Joseph Allison (Linda); sisters, Denise Maurer (Morris) and Janet Siedlick (Bruce); grandchildren, Casey, Megan, Will, Seth Mahaffey, Drew, Seth Noey, Leigha, Korey, Layton, Brett, Gage and Vincent; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends.
Mary's family invites you to join them in celebrating her life and the everlasting impact she had on all who knew her. A graveside service honoring her life will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Smith Family Cemetery. Pastor Tuffy Loftin will officiate the service. A brief visitation take place prior to the service from 1:30 P.M. to 2 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Acara Hospice at https://www.acarahospicefoundation.org/donate or Normangee #87 Order of the Eastern Star.
