Mrs. Mary P. Davie

Mary P Davie, 79, of Hobe Sound, FL, died September 12, 2012, at Manors at Hobe Sound in Hobe Sound, FL. Born in Staten Island, NY, she moved to Hobe Sound in August 2011, coming from Bronxville, NY. She was a former owner of M. P. Davie Construction and vice president of John Davie Construction. She was of the Roman Catholic Faith and a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Patricia Matthies of Hobe Sound; grandson, William Matthies; niece, Felicia Darella. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Matthies, Sr. and John F. Davie. Memorial Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer's Treasure Coast-Port St. Lucie, c/o Chapter Headquarters, Southeast Florida, 3333 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33406. SERVICES: Calling hours will be 5 to 7 PM, September 18, 2012 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Young and Prill Chapel in Stuart with a Vigil Service at 6:30PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM, September 19, 2012 at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound with The Very Rev. Aidan Hynes as celebrant. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest HIlls Funeral Homes Young and Prill Chapel in Stuart.
