Mary C. (DiMeo) DiMaio, 100, of Puritan Drive, Warwick, formerly of Johnston, RI, passed away at home with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. She was the wife of the late John DiMaio.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Giacobbe and Antonia (Conti) DiMeo.
Mary graduated from a Providence vocational school and became a dressmaker. Mary used her talents to make her daughter's wedding dress and other clothing items for her family. She later worked for more than thirty years at Tri-Jay Electroplating in Johnston before retiring. Mary was an avid knitter, creating and gifting colorful afghans and baby sweater sets for family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Chartier of Warwick and Frances Pacheco and her husband Richard of Newtown, CT; 6 grandchildren, Kristen Prest, Thomas Nuttall, Morgan Alcantara, Justin Pacheco, Robin Gardiner, and Courtney Krupka and 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son John DiMaio of Johnston, RI.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary's Funeral Service on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 139 Ocean Avenue, Cranston, RI, followed by interment in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston, RI. Visiting hours respectfully omitted.
