Mary Page Colcord Dunlap, widow of john Branham Dunlap, died November 2, 2025, surrounded by her family in Lancaster KY. Originally from Charleston, West Virginia, she has been residing in Danville, Kentucky, and then Lancaster since 1996. Born February 16, 1925, in Charleston, West Viriginia, to Eugene l. Colcord and Josephine (Morris) Colcord. Education consisted of the National Cathedral School and Holton Arms in Washington, D.C. She was a graduate of Rollin's College in Winter Park, Florida, where she was president of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and Editor of the freshman yearbook. Mary earned a bachelor's degree in English. While living in Versailles, Kentucky, she raised her family of 2 girls. She was a member of the Pisgah Presbyterian church where she served as deacon and elder. She was a past member of the Lexington Junior league, a member of the St. ASPHA chapter of the Dar. She also was part of the Little Garden Club of Woodford County and the Danville Garden Club. Mary founded the Buckley Hills Audubon Society and was instrumental in all phases of the daily operations of the C.E. Buckley Wildlife Sanctuary in Woodford County. Survivors include Page (Dunlap) Mead and her husband, Tom Mead of Vero Beach, Florida, Joanna Colcord (Dunlap) Kirby and her husband, Michael Kirby of Lancaster, Kentucky, granddaughters, Maria Steverson of Frankfort, Sytira (Kirby) Saunders, Ben Saunders, of Richmond, Virginia, great grandchildren, Will and Sophie Rudder of Frankfort, Kentucky and Kirby Saunders of Richmond, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society, the Woodford County Humane Society, or a charity you wish to support. Services to be held at the Pisgah Presbyterian church in Versailles, Kentucky.
