Jonelle Fisher Obituary

Jonelle graduated from the University of Louisville in 1954 and married Norman (Jack) Fisher in 1956. They moved with their children to Midway, Kentucky in 1959, where Jack practiced Family Medicine for forty-three years. Their Children are: Jennifer Lee, Peter Garrett (Kim), and Ann Thompson Locke (Kevin), all living in Midway, and Matthew Sidney, living in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There are six wonderful grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Jonelle became a life-time ardent student of Woodford County while forming a deep appreciation of its history, its people, its customs and its beauty. She published six non-fiction books about this area.
Burial will be a private family service at her request. Memorial contributions are suggested to: Old Friends, 1841 Paynes Depot Road, Georgetown Kentucky, 40324; or Shriners Hospitals for Children, P.O. Box 1525, Ranson, West Virginia, 25438. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and leave messages of condolence here on Jonelle's tribute page.

I´ve known Jo and Jack for several years now, but didn´t get to know them really until the past couple of years and what a blessing that was. This breaks my heart and I send all my love to the entire family.

So many memories come to mind when I think about Mrs. Fisher. The whole Fisher family is such a big part of my childhood. My thoughts and prayers are with you all

What a lovely lady. The last time I saw her, she gave me a book about Roger Federer. I´ll treasure it. My love and condolences to Dr Fisher, Jenny, Peter, Matt and Ann. Mrs. Fisher will be lovingly remembered.
