In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Lucille Luttrell, brothers, Henry Southerland, Welby Southerland and William Southerland.
Elzie will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ida Southerland, Versailles, Kentucky, daughter, Jennifer Thompson (Joseph), Versailles, sons, David Florian, Harrodsburg, Jamie Florian, Lawrenceburg, grandchildren, Natalie Florian, Kresha Smith, Patrick Smith, Amber Drane, great grandchildren, Bennett Drane, and Brynlee Drane.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Faith Baptist Church, 3692 Huntertown Rd Versailles, KY. 40383. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and leave messages of condolence here on Elzie's tribute page.
