Donald Richardson

Donald Richardson, born November 10, 1936, in Versailles, KY, to Anna Ruth Tilghman and Horace Kidwell Richardson, passed away peacefully October 31, 2025, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Nancy Graves Richardson, sons Eric Scott Richardson (Kelly Sizemore) and Marc Gavin Richardson (Gina Withers), grandchildren Connor Dylan Richardson, Camden William Richardson, Anne McKenzie Richardson and Hadley Clay Richardson and nephews Kevin Richardson and Jeffrey Richardson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother James Harold Richardson and his niece Leigh Ann Richardson. He graduated from Versailles High School and attended the University of Kentucky. He served four years in the United States Air Force, was a former employee of Kuhlman Electric and he retired from the United States Department of Defense. He spent his retirement years working on projects for friends and family, researching genealogy and enjoying model railroading. His greatest joy was supporting his grandchildren in all their interests and sporting events.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:00 am at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Rev. Carl Jones Officiating.
