Mary Alice "Sis" (Licking) Feyerherm passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at her home surrounded by family after a lengthy battle with Lupus.
Mary was born on December 10, 1948, in Broken Bow, NE, to Norman and Mary (Spellbrink) Licking. She attended Thedford High School and graduated in 1967. She then attended the Grand Island School of Business and graduated in 1969.
Mary moved to Norfolk, NE, and started working at Sherwood Medical as a Statistical Analyst reporting each day's production totals. She met her husband, Earl Feyerherm, while working here.
They were married on May 8, 1971, in Thedford, NE. They were blessed with three children: Tricia Ann, Angela Marie, and Brian Earl. Throughout the years, they enjoyed many activities with friends (card parties, traveling to new destinations, and bowling). As the kids got older, Earl and Mary enjoyed attending their school activities.
Mary doted on her grandchildren, Sydney Renae, Seth Cronin, Quinn Marie, and Harper Mazie. She loved baking their favorite treats for them and sewing blankets/quilts and matching pajamas for them all. Mary and Earl attended as many of their school activities as possible. Mary was affectionately called "Granny" by her beloved grandchildren.
After retirement, Mary enjoyed volunteering at the church in numerous areas, including working at the Blood Drive and using her sewing talents. She had many hobbies including sewing, cross-stitching, making crafts, quilting, baking, stamping/card-making, scrapbooking, and telling jokes. She is well known for her unique laugh, Monster Cookies, and Mug Rugs.
Mary is survived by her husband of 53 years, Earl; their children, Tricia (Brad Zaloudek) Feyerherm, Dr. Angie Pruden, and Brian (Allison) Feyerherm; grandchildren, Sydney Feyerherm, Quinn and Harper Pruden, and Annibel Zaloudek; siblings, Don (Linda) Licking, Dennis (Karen) Licking, Rick (Tanna) Licking, and Barb (Dave) Praeuner; sister-in-law, Lois Feyerherm; brother-in-law, Wayne (Jean) Feyerherm; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Mary Licking; parents-in-law, Arnold and Leona Feyerherm; brother, Dale and sister-in-law Vivian Licking; brother-in-law, Carl Feyerherm; and grandchildren, Seth Feyerherm and Emma Pruden.
