Mary D. Franks, age 82, a resident of Arkansas, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on March 15, 1943, in Riviera to the late Santos and Natividad De La Rosa, Mary was a woman of quiet strength, deep faith, and a generous heart. She enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a manager with First City National Bank, where she was admired for her professionalism, kindness, and integrity. Mary had a passion for sewing and interior decorating, and she took great joy in expressing her creativity. She especially cherished time spent with her family and shared a close bond with her nieces and nephews, who brought her great joy throughout her life. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, James Floyd Franks; her beloved siblings: Alex, David, Santos Jr., Cleo, and Paulo De La Rosa, as well as her sister, Eloisa De La Rosa. Mary leaves behind her devoted sister, Juanita "Janie" (Ricardo) Perales of Houston; her sister-in-law, Amanda De La Rosa; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold her memory close. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church, officiated by Father Alfredo Villarreal. A graveside service at Riviera Cemetery will be held at a later date. Mary's gentle spirit, love for family, and unwavering faith will be remembered always.
