Mary Geyer Obituary

Mrs. Mary Margaret (Doine) Geyer, of Weymouth, passed away on October 8, 2025. She was 74.

Mary was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Russell and Elizabeth Doine. The family moved to Massachusetts when she was 1 year old. Along with her 3 brothers, she grew up on the shores of Whitman’s Pond in Weymouth. “Down back” was a special place where they enjoyed swimming, boating, ice skating, waterskiing, and their many pets.

Mary met her future husband, Kenny, a couple days before she was supposed to go on a blind date with him. While getting to know each other, they spent time water skiing and scuba diving together, driving around and listening to music, going to drive- ins, and for walks at World’s End.

Mary and Kenny were married in 1972 and their love blossomed into a large family with 6 children and 21 grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family. Her time was often spent out on the boat cruising Boston Harbor, at family dinners with children and grandchildren, hosting grand kids sleepovers, taking rides on the Harley, and making every holiday and birthday special. She was a devout Christian, loved writing, and always brought her camera with her to document family memories. Among many other trips, especially to the Cape, a special trip was a big family trip to Hawaii in 2001.

She dedicated her life to God and all who knew her were blessed. Passing down her faith has been generational, as her love of Jesus has been passed on to her children and grandchildren. Although she will be greatly missed, her unwavering faith in the Lord brought peace to her family at her time of passing, as we know we will see her again.

Beloved wife of the late Kenneth W. Geyer.

Loving mother of Angela Marchand and her husband, Peter of Hubbardston, Amy Ferrante and her husband, Peter, of Plymouth, Sarah Geyer and her companion, Brian, of Brockton, Rebecca Geyer and her companion Travis, of Francestown NH, Hannah Souto and her husband, Tony, of Weymouth, and Kenneth Geyer, Jr and his wife Danielle, of Methuen.

Sister of Arthur Doine of Weymouth, and John Doine and his late wife, Jane of Weymouth, and the late Patrick Doine.
