Mary Jane Gingles, age 87, of Logansport, Louisiana passed away on May 23, 2025. She was born on July 21, 1937, in Urania, Louisiana to John and Lois (Tootsie) Rogers.
Jane graduated from LaSalle High School and married Billy R. Gingles, Sr. on February 21, 1957. As a dedicated homemaker, she found joy in reading, working on puzzles, and sharing coffee with friends. Above all, Mary will be remembered for her deep love and devotion as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, John and Tootsie Rogers; husband, Billy R. Gingles, Sr. of 58 years; and brothers, Stanley and Earl Rogers. Left to cherish her memory include her children, Bill Gingles, Jr. and wife Diana, Carlene Valentine and husband William, John Gingles and wife B.J., and Kim Temple and husband Ricky; grandchildren, Caleb Gingles, Zoey Taylor Gingles, Hannah Gingles, Sarah Williams, Stephen Valentine, Andrew Valentine, John Austin Temple, Ethan Temple, Katie Temple, Charlee Temple, Buddye Radford, as well as 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Graveside services honoring the life of Mary Jane will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, located at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 14320 US-84, Logansport, LA 71049 with Rev. William Valentine to officiate. Honoring Mary as pallbearers will be Stephen Valentine, Andrew Valentine, John Austin Temple, Ethan Temple, Kevin Williams, and Austin Townsend.
