Mary Elizabeth (Simpson) Grace of Lebanon, died August 24, 2021 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born June 24, 1927 in Laclede County, MO to William Andrew and Susan Effie (McFall) Simpson. On December 22, 1945 she married Stanley C. Grace. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Mag Robinson, Matty Goans, Grace Henson Bench, Nora Rose and Hilda Beard Harms and 4 brothers Lum Simpson, Lee Simpson, Carl Simpson and Dean Simpson, and one son Kirk Andrew Grace on May 26, 2006.
Mary worked at H D Lee Rice-Stix as a young woman and then was a lifelong dairy farmer and worked side by side with her husband Stanley for almost 73 years. Mary loved the farm, gardening, sewing, playing cards with family and was an amazing cook. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a gentle, hard working woman and a good neighbor and a kind friend.
Mary made her profession of faith as a young girl at White Oak Pond Presbyterian Church and was baptized in Brush Creek in Laclede County.
Survivors include her three sons, Larry Grace and his wife Sherry of Crystal River, FL, Ronald Grace and his wife Glenda, Chris Grace and his wife Deborah, two daughters, Betsy Morris and her husband Jon, Vicki Jones and her husband Steve all of Lebanon, MO.
Thirteen grandchildren: Bill Stephens (Gail), Tracie Grace Archer (Bobbie), Russell Grace (Jessica), Ben Grace (Jennifer), Ashley Grace, Mary Elizabeth "Meg" Grace, Nicholas Morris, Abigail Morris, Jessica Jones Van Deren (Brandon), Colt Jones, Cale Jones (Amanda), Karen "Michelle" Grace and Bailey Grace.
Eighteen great-grandchildren: Marissa Stephens McElvaney (Andrew), Gregory Archer (Abigail), Bradley Archer (Alissa), Ethan, Maggie and Nora Grace, Kaden, Maleah and Seth Grace, Memphis Griffin and Noah Grace, Lake Robinett, Bailee, Camden, Bella and Collins Van Deren, Cason Jones and Wylder Jones.
Four great great-grandchildren: Annalynn and Slate Archer, Amelia McElvaney, and Oliver Archer.
One sister-in-law, Ione Simpson. Longtime family friend Hans Campman of the Netherlands. Longtime caregivers Dianna Moyers and Donna Sufficool and part time caregiver Mary Hempel and a number of family caregivers. Mary also had a large host of other close relatives and many friends.
Memorials have been suggested to Ivey Cemetery. Donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel's Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948 or 1001 N. Lynn, Lebanon, MO 65536
