Mary Louise Gray

Mary Louise Joiner Gray was born in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Bluford Joiner and the late Janie May Gary Joiner. She entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Lexington Medical Center.

Mrs. Gray was a current member of the Helena Community Outreach Church in Newberry, SC, and past member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and Love Chapel Holiness Church.

Mrs. Gray was predeceased by all of her siblings consisting of 1 sister: Janet Dowd, 4 brothers: Luther Joiner, Sr., Eugene Joiner, Mark Joiner, and William Carl Joiner. Mrs. Gray was also predeceased by her daughters, Abigale Joiner and Veronica Hite Maybin, her son, Christopher Bruce Joiner, her grandsons, Keith Joiner and Tyrone Hite, and granddaughters, Ashlee Gray and Chantelle Gray.

Mrs. Gray is survived by her husband, Earl Gray, daughters, Wendy Joiner Bates (spouse Zachary) and Pastor Karen Gray; her sons, Curtis Gray (spouse Sharon), Andrew Gray (spouse Bonita), Randy Gray, and Eric Gray; 20 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren, an especially close cousin, Ethunnia Setzler, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and associates.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Wiles Chapel on the campus of Newberry College. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
