Mary B. Harrington, of Bucks County, PA, died peacefully Tuesday, January 2, 2024, with her loving family by her side. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday and was the life of the party.
Born and raised in Queens, NY, she and her late husband had moved to Yardley in 1970 and then retired to Manahawkin, NJ, where they lived for many years.
She was a member of St. Ignatius of Antioch R.C. Church and was a devote catholic. Mary was skilled at crochet and will always be remembered for the hats, scarves and blankets she made for all those she loved. She was also very proud of her Irish heritage and was a former member of the Compassionate Friends Grief support group in Levittown, PA. She loved spending time with her beloved dog Jenny.
Wife of the late William J. Harrington, and mother of the late William J., Jr., Judy Ann, and Robert Harrington, she is survived by her four children; Jean Woram (Mark), Mary Jane Heller (Chuck); Christine Sinclair (Terry), and Timothy Harrington.
She was the proud grandma (Gama) to ten grandchildren, Sara (Jessica), Christine (Timothy), Robert (Desiree), Joseph (Shawnee), Daniel (Roman), Jessica, Shannon, Kelly, Timothy (Izabella) and William. She also has six great grandchildren and was excited to learn of two more on the way.
Mary will be sadly missed by her siblings, Jack Meehan, Neal Meehan, Patricia Bova, Maureen Bonadies, their spouses, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Mary (Smith) Maher and Jack and Rose (Smith) Meehan.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 9, 2024, 11:30 AM at St. Ignatius of Antioch R.C. Church, 999 Reading Avenue in Yardley, PA, with burial to follow at the St. Ignatius Parish cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewings Monday, January 8, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Beck-Givnish Life Celebration Home, Inc., 7400 New Falls Road, and again on Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the church.
