Jeffrey Harrington Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey L. Harrington, born on November 13, 1959, in Valparaiso, Indiana to Daniel and Jill (Machler) Harrington. Jeff, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, left us on July 24, 2025, at the age of 65. He spent his life in the vibrant city of Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he touched many lives with his warm spirit, powerful words, and genuine kindness rooted in his faith in Jesus Christ. Jeffrey earned his bachelor's degree from Ball State University in 1982, launching his successful career in computer sales. He had a passion for connecting with people and was known for his unwavering dedication to his work, clients, and above all, his family. On March 5, 1983, he married Mary (Slater) Harrington who he had met at Ball State. Jeffrey survives his loving wife, Mary Harrington, his children, Ashley Harrington and Austin Miles Harrington (Ana Carolina), and grandchildren, Antonella and Baby Oliveira Harrington, his parents Daniel and Jill Harrington, and his siblings, Lynn (Stan Giesler) and Beth (Craig Cassidy). In honoring Jeff's wishes, there will be a mass held on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 11:00am, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd., Fort Wayne, with an hour prior visitation at the church. Contributions in honor of Jeffrey Harrington may be made, in lieu of flowers to the family, to help with future care of Ashley. Online condolences may be left at www.divinemercyfuneralhome.com. Jeff may have left this world, but his loving spirit will remain with us forever. He will be missed dearly by all who had the honor to know him.
